4-H club members give items to ARC

Members of the Kyttle Community 4-H Club of the Millville area display some of the items donated Tuesday evening to the ARC by the 4-H Club. The club collected pet food and supplies and donated them to the center at its meeting Tuesday evening at the Bloomsburg YMCA.

Get Involved

We are always looking for caring, loving people to help us out. Your time itself is a valuable contribution. We need volunteers who can do any of the following:

Foster animals in their home and bring them to the Adopt-A-Thons until they can be adopted out.
Haul and/or set up tents to/from/at fundraising events.
Walk and play with our shelter animals both at the shelter and at the Adopt-A-Thons. Human interaction is vital to domesticated animals.
We need people willing to transport animals to & from our Adopt-A-Thons. If you have a pickup truck, van, or car and time and a desire to help, please call.

Landlord Approval Form: Renters, your landlord must allow you to have a pet.

Spring 2005 Newsletter

The annual holiday season "gift wrap" at the Columbia Mall went well David and Bert Auten donated a lot of gift-wrapping paper for this project. They also adopted Rocky from us a few years ago. Thanks to all who helped with this fund raising effort.

Our first Annual Pet Photo with Santa was a fun and successful event much enjoyed by all. The kind folks of the Wesley United Method Church in Bloomsburg donated the use of their gym for this activity. Tammy Duch and Cyndi Lindenmuth took great photo shots.

The donation of land which is to provide the home for our shelter was finalized on December 21, 2004. We are most grateful to Rhonda and Chuck Stitz and their daughter Kamryn for their generosity.

Our 1st Annual Benefit Banquet was held on November 20, 2004. Kathy Diehl and Angie Hall were in charge. We had a great time and made a sizeable amount of money. There were so many people who made it successful. Washies Fire Company of Danville donated their hall for the occasion. Washies Volunteers gave their time to serve the meals. Joe Kinn, auctioneer, donated his time and skills. Jessie Thomas provided the musical entertainment.

The November Straw giveaway was very successful. Al Gregorowicz (ARC Founder), Beth German and others did a great job in helping outside animals by providing a bit more protection from winter's icy blast.
